Adidas Launch Commercial in Philadelphia

The client

Lapstone & Hammer is a Philadelphia store that hosted the release of the Adidas "Imported from Virginia" collection. A product drop needs hype before the day, so the commercial had to feel like an event.

What we made

We told a short story: a phone map tracking a shipment from Virginia, the city streets of Philadelphia, a street musician, the "Imported from Virginia" truck, a reveal of the shoes and boxes being unloaded, ending on the Adidas, Virginia and Lapstone logos with the release date.

Why it works

Launch commercials work when they build anticipation. Treating the delivery like a journey creates a mini story with a payoff, and the bold final card makes sure everyone knows where and when to show up.
